Quantum Humor

Quantum computing geniuses like Seth Lloyd are already making computers with atomic-scale components, but they're not yet making big computers with atomic-scale components.

Hold onto your cats folks!

It may be awhile before a nano constructed quantum computer can be biologically inserted into our brains allowing for the upload and, more importantly, download of 1s and 0s.

The big question for me is whether we can transfer the processing system without losing that "something something" that creates conscious, evolving thought.

Ultimately, we could avoid departicilization, or the loss of particles, which prohibits our human-bound particles from maintaining coherence due to entropy or physical death, by transferring our consciousness to a synthetic device.

What I'd really like to see is the transfer of consciousness from other atom-bound items such as dogs, cats, plants, tables, and the like... it would be very interesting to hear what they have to say!
